When we started the 2020 COVID WEIGHT LOSS CHALENGE I was seriously overweight. I was not active enough, had a LOT of unhealthy habits and could not see myself achieving “A ripe old age” going down this route. Combined with the all-round depression around the COVID pandemic I decided I had to do something about it. Thus the “2020 COVID WEIGHT LOSS CHALENGE” was born.
I did the following:
- I weighed in at 113,9kg. I was 119kg when I started my journey but at the start of the challenge I was 113,9kg
- In 1st month I used Herbazone’s:
- Centella Caps – 2 a day (already part of my daily vitamins at this point) – INCREASES BLOOD CIRCULATION AND HENCE THE WORKING OF OTHER WEIGHT LOSS PRODUCTS
- SMALLER PLATES when eating meals.
- MONTH TWO I used the same as month 1 and added:
- Herbalean Meal replacement shake – Replacing one meal – lunch. With water it is only 80calories. Same as one apple and stabilises blood sugar for 4hours
- Fat Burner Caps – 2 a day BLOOD SUGAR STABILISER, THERMOGENIC, APPETITE SUPRESSANT, DIURETIC, DETOXIFIER
- Psyllium Caps – 2 a day – Healthy bowel movement / Peristalsis
- Herbazings Caps – 2 a day – Drives off excess water and weight loss herbs
- Started walking at least 3 sessions a week.
- MONTH THREE:
- Apple Cider Vinegar Liquid in the morning. 2 Spoons – GENERAL HEALTH TONIC for High Blood Pressure & Weight Loss
- Continued using previous months products.
- Increased vegetable intake replacing two weekly meals with vegetables only.
- My exercise was now regular and at a higher intensity. I was jogging between 4 – 6 times a week, 5km’s each session.
- MONTH FOUR & FIVE:
- I was just continuing using the Herbalean Meal Replacement Shake, Centella -, Fat Burner -, Psyllium -, Herbazings – and Apple Cider Vinegar liquid.
EXERCISE: At the start of the challenge I was doing around 4000 steps a day. I immediately started walking and quickly increased my activity sessions and later the intensity. I was wearing a Garmin Forerunner 920 but any pedometer would have told me I walked 50 000 steps in July 2020. I’m now doing around 300 000 in a month. That includes normal steps and running steps.
DIET: “Diet” here means “How you plan to eat for the rest of your life” NOT “What miracle watermelon diet will make me lose weight?” Eat more VEGETABLES! I did increase our already healthy vegetable intake per meal and also did around 2 -3 vegetarian meals a week. I stopped any hidden calories like sugar in my tea, caffeine drinks including coffee and tried to stay away from excessive carbohydrates –limited white pasta and bread. Select LOW GI vegetables eg Sweet Potato vs normal potato. Use diuretic vegetables as much as possible – celery, cucumber, fennel etc Eat NUTS, peas, LEGUMES & SEEDS!
ALCOHOL: I was using alcohol in the form of whiskey & wine and an occasional beer. I immediately swapped that out for the alcohol free versions available. I’m still doing so with the occasional bubbly or glass of red wine.
TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS ———19,9kg during the challenge. TOTAL WAS 25KG!
Gewigsverlies getuigskrif
Toe ons die COVID 19 Gewigsverlies uitdaging begin het, was ek erg oorgewig. Ek was nie aktief genoeg nie, het baie ongesonde gewoontes gehad en kon my nie indink dat ek so tot ‘n rype ouderdom sou
lewe nie. Met die alomgaande COVID depressie en angs, het ek besluit om iets aan my situasie te doen. So het die 2020 COVID Gewigsverlies uitdaging begin.
Ek het die volgende gedoen:
- Ek het ingeweeg op 113.9 kg. Voor dit was ek 119 kg maar met die begin van die uitdaging was ek 113.9 kg.
- In die eerste maand het ek die volgende Herbazone produkte gebuik:
- Centella kapsules – 2 per dag ( alreeds deel van my daaglikse aanvullings). Verbeter bloedsirkulasie en dus die werking van al die ander gewigsverliesprodukte.
- Kleiner borde wanneer ek ‘n maaltyd nuttig.
- Maand 2: Aangehou met bogenoemde plus die volgende:
- Herbalean Maaltydvervanging skommel – dit het my middagete vervang. Gemeng met water is een porsie slegs 80 kaloriee, dieslfde as ‘n appel maar dit stabiliseer bloedsuikervlakke vir meer as 4 ure.
- Fat Burner kapsules : 2 per dag – stabiliseer bloedsuiker, bespoedig die metabolisme, onderdruk die aptyt, diuretikum (dryf water af), ontgiftiging.
- Psyllium kapsules : 2 per dag – gesonde en gereelde derm lediging.
- Herbazings kapsules: 2 per dag – dryf oortollige water af met gewigsverlieskruie.
- Ek het drie sessies per week begin stap.
- Maand 3:
- Apple Cider Vinegar soggens – 2 eetlepels. Algemene gesondheidstonikum vir hoë bloeddruk en gewigsverlies.
- Aangehou met bogenoemde produkte.
- Twee maaltye per week slegs vegetaries (groente).
- My oefening was nou gereeld en teen ‘n hoër intensiteit. Ek het 4 tot 6 keer per week gedraf, nooit minder as 5 km nie.
- Maand 4 en 5:
- Ek het aangehou met Herbalean, Centella, Fat Burner, Psyllium, Herbazings en Apple Cider Vinegar.
OEFENING: Met die begin van die uitdaging het ek gemiddeld 4000 treë per dag gegee. Ek het dadelik begin stap en my aktiwiteit en intensiteit het geleidelik toegeneem. Ek het ‘n Garmin Forerunner 920 maar enige pedometer sou my gewys het dat my totale treë 50 000 in Julie was. My gemiddeld is nou ongeveer 300 000 per maand. Dit sluit in gewone- en draftreë in.
DIEëT: Hiermee bedoel ek “Met watse eetplan kan ek vir die res van my lewe saamleef ? “ NIE “Die wonderkuur kits Waatlemoen diet” nie. Eet meer groente. Ek het ons groenteporsies per maaltyd vermeerder, asook 2 tot 3 vegetariese maaltye per week begin eet . Ek het opgehou met die “versteekde” kalorieë soos suiker in my tee, kaffeïen drankies – insluitend koffie en probeer om oormatige koolhidrate (pasta en brood) te besnoei. Kies laë GI groente soos soetpatats in plaas van aartappels. Eet diuretiese groente so veel as moontlik – seldery, komkommer ens.
Alkohol: Ek het alkohol verbruik in die vorm van whiskey en wyn, en soms ook ‘n bier. Ek het dit verruil vir alkoholvrye opsies. Ek drink slegs af en toe ‘n glas vonkelwyn of rooiwyn.
Totale gewigsverlies: 19,9 kg gedurende die uitdaging maar in totaal 25kg !
